February 25 HOA Board Meeting Recap

Thanks as always to all who were able to attend Tuesday night’s meeting. As we announced the clubhouse recently obtained WiFi service and we attempted to broadcast the meeting using Zoom. We had just up Zoom and there were some technical issues for residents trying access the meeting. We expect to have this capability fully set up and tested prior to next month’s meeting.

We are changing our monthly meeting time to 5:00 PM for all scheduled board meeting this year. The dates for all meetings are posted on the website.

As previously announced we did get new pool furniture. The old furniture is being stored on the back patio free to all residents on a first come, first serve basis. Several lounge chairs and tables are still available. We ask only that you notify Sentry or the Board if you are taking any pieces.

Again new pool furniture was purchased using interest income earned from our reserve and operating funds that were invested in CD’s. Total interest income for 2024 was $22,720.

The construction on canal continues but they are making progress and the entire project is expected to be completed by July. The construction has caused the mosquito problem to become much worse. The county has been fogging the area, even going deep into the mangroves on foot with hand held equipment. But the mosquitoes are still pretty bad and probably will be until the project is completed.
